Bissell is another company that makes a steam mop that is the perfect solution for anyone who is sensitive to harsh cleaning chemicals, or someone with young children or even pets. It uses the power of steam to clean and disinfect your floors, with no harsh detergents necessary.
It also help you save money in the long run, since you won't need to spend money on floor cleaning products any longer. And if your floors use materials that are not compatible with most cleaning products, a steam mop might be the perfect solution for you.
The Bissell steam mop will heat and be ready to use inside of 30 seconds. It uses a similar process to an iron - steam is released on demand, not on a continuous basis, by pressing the mop's trigger as you move it across the floor.
The hot steam is very good at removing sticky messes and spills, and if it is a particularly tough mess you can simply let the mop sit over it for a few second to loosen it up. Leaving the mop in place for 15 second or more will sanitize the surface very effectively.
The Bissell steam mop will give you roughly 15 minutes of steam on each full tank of water, but when you refill it there's no lag time before it can be used again.
The Bissell mop has a swivel head that lets you get into tight corners and underneath harder-to-reach spots like kitchen or bathroom cabinets. It also has a built-in water filter that will help filter out the impurities in most tap water. It weighs less than 7 pounds, so it's not difficult to move around and use, even for the entire house.

I bought one of these a little over a year ago, and I'm really happy with it. The newer models use a micro-fiber pad which seem to be more durable than the old terry cloth ones on my model, so it might be time to upgrade!

I've had my Bissell for about a year and a half and it's done a pretty good job. I find it leaves extra water on the floor once in a while, but I just push a towel behind it with my feet to mop up any excess moisture.
